My name is Dave Armstrong and I live in Rockford Illinois with my two sons- Chris and Reese., I’m not an author or hold no degrees in counseling, I’m am a divorced dad who left the trucking industry and became a Barber to make more available time to raise my boys. I wish I would’ve taken up this trade years ago because it’s helped me be more attentive and how I communicate with people, to be a better listener and all around better man and father. I have a lot of dads, grandfathers, uncles, kids, etc. that I relate to about parenting, family, and life issues on a daily basis. I learn a lot and I get to share a little of what I know. It’s an awesome environment work in.

There are dads out there that want to be effective in fathering. Men who desire to see their families strengthened and secure. As a dad I realize that my two sons must see by my example of what genuine manhood is and what a father does. They are learning from my character, the beliefs, work ethic, my relationships and even how I handle disappointments and mistakes. I know that all sounds like a huge load to bare, and are more times than I would like to admit where I have and will fall short of being that example for my sons. If we can envision that role and make a conscious effort to fulfill that role, we can positively influence our sons, daughters and marriages. Dads, we can be a man of integrity, a man who inspires trust, respect, and weave these at your attributes into the lives of our families. Whether it be positive or negative, how we learn to approach life and our responsibilities will reflect on the emotional growth and security of our families. My name is Dave Armstrong, and I’m striving to become the authentic dad Chris and Reese need to guide them into adulthood. Please join me as we journey through fatherhood.

Hi, Dave, I have read your ‘story’ and we are of the same ilk. I am a professional coach and advocate for men who want to be better fathers, my institute a place for them to come and be with other men in support of that noble endeavor. If I can be of any help to you let me know, my searching the field of work for dads finds isolated pockets though the need is strong. I’m for bringing us all together, referring where possible, finding the best fit for men and their needs. If you’re feeling that, too, reach out anytime.
    Sincerely, Claude Soffel.
